cost of Block and head machine work for Chevy 350 engine?

Question by J. K: cost of Block and head machine work for Chevy 350 engine?
How much does it cost to have a 350 block hot tanked, bored, and have the heads machined? I just want a ball park price range for all machine work on block and heads.

Best answer:

Answer by dodge man
roughly around 600 bucks right now its around 15-20 bucks a hole to bore it,and by the time they mill the heads and the block a few thousands, and get it all trued back up it should be around 600 if they do a real good job on it,last one i had done was a 305,and i paid around 450 for it,and that was several years ago,and all shops will have different prices also ,beware of real low prices though ,good luck hope this helps.

why even bother on a D15? Get an imported ZC or B18 and start with power right out of the box, less money than machining a D15 too. Check out www.hasport.com on their cross-fit applications for your model – what honda motor fits your chassis and how much work…

Check with any auto/truck repair shop (new car dealers included) and ask who they use when they can’t do their own machine repairs.
